SPIRITUAL HEALTH

LOI 1: Choices and habits we make

What is spirituality?

Spirituality is a broad concept with room for many perspectives. In general, it includes a sense of connection to something bigger than ourselves, and it typically involves a search for meaning in life. As such, it is a universal human experience, something that touches us all. Few of the questions we were curious to know they are as follows.

Q1. What is spiritual health?

Q2. Are all people spiritual?

We found the following article in the NIE which was extremely useful for us as it gave us the information on roles of spiritual people and how they show emotional intelligence. People who follow spirituality are not upset or depressed by the results. They never show ego and are always generous. They spend time with themselves in silence.

LOI 2: Cause of choices and irresponsible behavior.

Spiritual irresponsible behavior –

Spiritual irresponsible behavior is not good as it talks about selfishness, greediness and the materialistic world. The materialistic world is where everyone is greedy and they want more than they need. Like if someone has a car, they want 2 cars and they want lots of things.

These were some of the questions that we had-

Q1. Is spirituality related to our beliefs?
Q2. Why is it important to be spiritual?

These are the websites that helped us know the answers of our questions

LOI 3: Choices and habits can affect our etiquette

What is etiquette?

Etiquette is defined as the formal manners and rules that are followed in social or professional settings. The rules of writing a thank you note are an example of etiquette. It is also the customary code of polite behaviour in society or among members of a particular profession or group.

These are the websites and video that helped us to gather information on spiritual etiquettes:

LOI 4 : Choices and habits moulds, one’s personality.

Ms. Rajshree Bramat had come as a guest speaker for PYP 5 and she talked about the rights and responsibilities of humans. This was very helpful as we learnt a lot about spirituality. She made us to say prayers, narrated stories for us which helped us to know what spirituality is. The students showed enthusiasm and followed the instructions.

We were curious to know few questions from her which are as follows:

Q1. How can we practice spirituality in our day to day life?
Q2. How can we maintain spirituality?
Q3. How does spirituality help us in our daily life?

These websites gave us the answers to our questions.
